It's All About The Shoes | Andia Fora

You get a shoe. You get a shoe. You get a shoe. Everyone gets shoes!

We are always on the hunt for amazing brands to carry at the store, and since we opened we've always been asked about shoes and if we were ever going to carry them..

I have a shoe problem (one might even call it an addiction). So admittedly, I have always wanted to carry shoes. I consider them the perfect accessory. The right shoe can finish any outfit, and they always look good.. even on a "bad" day.

When I considered carrying shoes in the store, I knew I wanted the shoes to be unique. I didn't want to carry a line that you could purchase at any boutique or department store. I always knew I wanted the line to be special. I didn't want it to be your average shoe.

Because I know shoes can be a hard sell, I was never really actively looking for a shoe line to carry. Every woman has a unique relationship with shoes. Shoes come in all shapes and styles, and every woman has a very unique style when it comes to shoes. Even in my own family, we are all pretty different when it comes to our personal "shoe style". Knowing I didn't want to carry a shoe line that you could get anywhere, I kind of let it sit on the back burner.

One day, we had a photoshoot and one of the women in the photoshoot brought a few pair of shoes to style with her outfits. Of course, I absolutely fell in love with one of the pairs she brought. I mean literally when I saw them, I immediately asked her where she got them because I needed a pair in my life. The only problem was she bought them at a boutique in Florida, and the brand doesn't sell online. She tells me how it is an artisan brand from Italy, and all of the shoes are handmade. I fall even more in-love.

This is where fate stepped in-- She actually lives in the same neighborhood as the U.S. distributor of the brand, and puts us in contact.

We set up a meeting at the store to view the line, and the rest is history.
